Chapter 190: All The Lovers

Okay, so it is late in the day already. I kind of crashed for like 12 hours last night. It was probably much needed. I just wanted to add a note to this video blog about one of my statements in the video blog. I mentioned people having attitude about buying makeup on Ebay and how I didn't really see what the big deal was. Well, last night I learned a very valuable lesson as to why people have this attitude about it. You see, as mentioned in the video, yesterday I ordered six MAC Hello Kitty palettes on Ebay for a very decent price... a little too decent, honestly. Each of these palettes have seven different eyeshadow colors in them. That's forty-two shades of eyeshadow in all these really gorgeous MAC colors. The issue is that in doing a little further research after the fact, I found out that MAC never made Hello Kitty palettes with seven eyeshadows in them. Clearly, I have been duped. It sucks. In talking with my friend April via Facebook, though, I've come up with another idea that I am kind of obsessed with - MAC has these custom palettes you can get, which are basically an empty MAC palette that you can buy individual eyeshadow pans to fill. So, basically, you can kind of construct your own MAC palette. I have now become obsessed with doing that. The issue is that ordering the palette direct from MAC and filling it with shadows right off the bat is CRAZY expensive. For just a four shadow palette, it is $79. I want to do the 15 color palette, which is $179. Still, being the creative shopper that I am I have come up with a better idea. I can get one of the empty palettes on Ebay for pretty cheap and then gradually buy the pans to fill it over time. The individual eyeshadow pans are not very expensive at all, ($11 each,) and if I get the palette then buy two or three shadows every paycheck for like 6 weeks, I could have it filled in no time. This time, however, I will order direct from MAC, aside from the empty palette, which even if I wound up getting a fake wouldn't really make much of a difference. I'm kind of excited to make a project out of this. Plus, April was also telling me that if you buy and depot individual shadows from Urban Decay or Lorac, they fit into the MAC palette as well. I kind of want to do a full palette of MAC but that is good to keep in mind, as well. Anyway, that is all.
